Romestead Quest Index

Last updated: 2026-06-04

Every Romestead world quest mapped out: what to offer, what it unlocks, and where to find any boss-drop materials. Plus a reverse-lookup table for when you know what you want to build but don't know which quest gets you there. Bookmark this page — it's the answer to almost every "I'm stuck, what's next?" question.

How quests work

Romestead's quest system has two top-level categories — World Quests (long-term progression tied to gods, mostly building unlocks) and Personal Quests (the tutorial chain). World Quests live in the Quests tab of any altar's UI, organized per god.

Each quest typically asks you to offer specific items at the altar. Completing the offering unlocks new buildings, recipes, upgrade tiers, or other quest chains. Minerva is the only god without a blessing tree — her quests are her entire contribution to progression, and they gate some of the biggest unlocks in the game (including the Carpenter's Workshop).

Personal / tutorial quests

The Personal Quests tab is your tutorial chain, available from a fresh character. Each step gives small rewards (often crafting items) and progresses you through basic mechanics.

Confirmed tutorial chain (in order)

  1. Acquiring Materials — Collect 8 Flint Shards. (Throw Flint Rocks at regular Rocks to break them into Shards. Flint is found near water.)
  2. Weapons and Tools — Equip a weapon, tool, and armor. Rewards: Wooden Shield, Wooden Bow, Wooden Sandals, Flint Arrow.
  3. Obtain Wood Planks — Collect Wood Planks. Rewards: Workbench, Wood Stick.
  4. The Workbench — Place a Workbench from scratch.
  5. Town Core and Altar — Construct and interact with both buildings. (Town Core defines your town's center and name.)
  6. Populating Your Town I & II — Recruit citizens from camps in the wild.

The tutorial continues from there into mid-game milestones — we'll document additional Personal Quest steps as we observe them.

Quests we're still verifying

The following quests appear in the world-quest browser but we don't yet have confirmed offerings, rewards, or god attribution:

If you've completed either of these, please flag it via the official Romestead Discord or Steam Community forums so we can update.
